Their belief was simple yet profound: Jharkhand holds extraordinary potential, but real progress requires conversations that are honest, inclusive, and rooted in the people's lived realities.
Behtar Jharkhand's work began in Delhi, where its inaugural session brought together professionals of Jharkhand origin, thought leaders, experts, and former Chief Minister Babu Lal Marandi. The discussions were spirited and thoughtful—anchored in memories of the state's evolution and grounded in ideas for what its future could become. This session marked the start of an ongoing dialogue that would travel across cities and into the heart of Jharkhand.
The momentum grew stronger as the initiative reached Ranchi. In collaboration with the Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industries (FJCCI), Behtar Jharkhand organised a critical dialogue that became one of its defining moments. On May 9, 2024, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman joined an interactive session with trade bodies, professionals, and civil society members. The conversation was direct and constructive—ranging from industry challenges to tourism prospects, from skilling needs to infrastructural bottlenecks. It was the kind of conversation the state had long needed: structured, sincere, and solution-focused.
The initiative travelled further to Bokaro, where a Youth Dialogue brought together young professionals and students eager to be part of Jharkhand's developmental journey. Former Union Minister and MP Anurag Thakur addressed the gathering, encouraging the youth to bring new ideas, new energy, and new determination to the table. Bokaro's session was not just an event; it was a signal that the torch of leadership was ready to pass to the next generation.
Through its ongoing conversations—especially its "Ek Sarthak Samvad" series at places like Ranchi's Audrey House—Behtar Jharkhand is slowly shaping a people-driven agenda for the state. Though still in its early stages, it has already emerged as a space where optimism meets practicality, where policy meets people, and where hope is not just expressed, but organised.
It stands not as an external initiative but as a living reflection of what BAJAKO believes in: the power of community-led change.

The Showcase was born to fill that gap.
Organised by the Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna's Business Incubation & Innovation Foundation (CIMP-BIIF), in partnership with IntelliNexus Ventures LLP, B-HUB, and the Department of Industries, Government of Bihar, the event in September 2025 created a rare moment where Bihar's early-stage founders could pitch directly to national venture capital funds. It was not symbolic—it was serious, structured, and evaluated with rigour.
The presence of respected investors such as Deepak Agrawal (Partner, Venture Catalysts) and Mayuresh Raut (Co-founder & Managing Partner, Seafund) gave the event credibility and weight. Their participation ensured that Bihar's startups were assessed not through stereotypes, but through the same standards applied in Bengaluru, Mumbai, or Gurgaon boardrooms.
For the startups, this Showcase became more than a pitch day. It became a platform that recognised talent, validated effort, and sparked confidence. It highlighted the state's emerging entrepreneurial energy and reminded investors across India that innovation does not belong to any one geography.
The Showcase demonstrated that Bihar is no longer a silent participant—it is now a contender in the country's innovation story. For BAJAKO, this initiative represents exactly what the community stands for: pride in roots, belief in potential, and action that creates opportunity.

For decades, the professional journey of people from Bihar and Jharkhand has been defined by migration—first for survival, then for education, and now for ambition. Today, Biharis and Jharkhandis are not just in civil services or labour markets; they are entrepreneurs, artists, engineers, strategists, doctors, journalists, designers, diplomats, economists, and creators.
And yet, identity remains emotional.
Pride remains personal.
And community remains essential.
BAJAKO represents that pride—modern, confident, and rooted.
It celebrates the journey from "Bihari kisko bola?" to "Proudly Bihari."
It stands for cultural enrichment, mentorship, connection, and shared progress.
A platform to connect, share, and grow—learning from one another and taking pride in our roots.
